We are seeking a proactive and organized Human Resource Officer to join our Travel & Tours company.
The ideal candidate will manage end-to-end HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, HR administration, and regulatory compliance.
The role requires someone who is people-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of supporting a fast-paced, service-driven work environment.
Responsibilities
Source, screen, and shortlist candidates for various roles in the travel and tours sector.
Coordinate interviews, assessments, and background checks.
Conduct onboarding and orientation for new hires.
Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries.
Promote a positive workplace culture and drive employee engagement.
Handle grievances, conflict resolution, and disciplinary matters.
Support the implementation of performance appraisal systems and KPIs.
Monitor employee performance and provide feedback.
Identify training needs and coordinate capacity-building programs.
Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
Prepare HR reports, attendance summaries, and payroll support documents.
Manage leave schedules, timesheets, and HR-related documentation.
Ensure compliance with labour laws and internal HR policies.
Update HR policies when necessary.
Support health, safety, and security procedures, especially for staff on tours or field duties.
Requirements
HND / BSc in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum of 2 – 4 years of HR experience (experience in travel/tourism is an advantage).
Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of labour laws and HR best practices.
Proficiency in the MS Office suite and HRMS tools.
Must have Certification in HR (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, or equivalent).
