    Human Resource Assistant

    Job Purpose

    • The Human Resource Assistant (HRA) will be responsible for HR duties in the implementation of the ‘Gender-based violence’ project in Gusau of Zamfara State. This position is central to the designing, planning, implementation, and overseeing of all Human Resource related functions in CBI Zamfara State operations.
    • The HRA will assist the program officer who will be responsible for building capacities of key community own resource persons to facilitate and implement protection activities in the community and institutions (schools and reception centers) to improve Gender-based best practices.
    • Furthermore, He/she will assist the PC regarding regular updates and the progress of the project staff. Through the strategic implementation of this project, he/she will directly work to contribute to the execution of CBI’s overall mission and strategic plan goals for 2023

    Job Description / Principal Accountabilities

    • Project Implementation, Monitoring, and Evaluation
    • Support all internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests.
    • Maintain digital and electronic records of employees.
    • Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing reference checks, and issuing employment contracts.
    • Maintain calendars of the HR management team.
    • Assist with perfomance management procedures.
    • Schedule meetings, interviews, and HR events and maintain agendas.
    • Coordinate training sessions and seminars.
    • Perform orientations and update records of new staff.
    • Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.
    • Assist in the Processing of payroll.
    • Complete termination paperwork and exit interviews.
    • Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices
    • The tasks and responsibilities defined in this job description are non-exhaustive and can evolve depending on the project’s needs. The employee could be requested to perform other tasks as his/her line manager may judge necessary.

    Job Holder Entry Requirements
    Knowledge (Education & Related Experience):

    • University Degree in a relevant field (Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Health). Masters will be an added advantage
    • Minimum of 2 years working experience, ideally in an INGO or well-acknowledged NGO, having experience working with government partners and project fund/grant management.
    • Experience in all aspects of project management, possession of an HR Certification will be an added advantage.
