    HSE Officer

    Job Summary

    The HSE Officer will be responsible for supporting the implementation and monitoring of Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company standards. The role involves conducting inspections, risk assessments, training, and incident investigations to promote a safe and sustainable workplace culture.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Assist in the development and implementation of HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines.
    2. Conduct routine site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
    3. Support accident, incident, and near-miss investigations; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.
    4. Facilitate toolbox talks, HSE trainings, and awareness programs for staff and contractors.
    5. Monitor and ensure compliance with local and international HSE laws, regulations, and company standards.
    6. Maintain accurate records of safety performance, incidents, and compliance documentation.
    7. Promote a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility at all levels of the organization.
    8. Support emergency preparedness, first aid, and fire safety programs.
    9. Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors when required.

    Requirements

    Education & Certification

    1. Bachelor’s degree in Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or a related field.
    2. HSE certifications (Level 1, 2, or 3) from a recognized institution.
    3. First Aid and CPR certification.

    Experience

    1. Minimum of 2–3 years’ relevant HSE experience, preferably in plantation, agriculture, or industrial operations.
    2. Knowledge of RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) standards will be an added advantage.

    Skills & Attributes

    1. Good knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
    2. Strong observation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    3. Proficiency in MS Office and incident reporting tools.
    4. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report writing skills.
    5. Ability to work collaboratively and influence safety culture across teams.
