Hotel Porter at a Notable Hospitality Company

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a friendly and customer-focused individual to join our team as a porter who will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to guests, assisting with luggage and transportation, and maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of hotel public areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests and assist with luggage and transportation needs
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of hotel public areas, including lobby, hallways, and restrooms
• Assist with room set-up and tear-down for events and meetings
• Deliver packages and other items to guest rooms as needed
• Respond to guest requests and inquiries in a timely and professional manner
• Monitor and report any maintenance or safety issues to management
• Assist with valet parking and vehicle maintenance as needed
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment needed for porter duties
• Provide exceptional customer service to all guests

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift and carry heavy luggage and equipment
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Working Conditions:

The hotel porter will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interaction with guests and staff. They may be required to stand or walk for extended periods of time and lift heavy objects. The position may require working outdoors in various weather conditions.
