Job Description

• Assist in basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and assembling dishes.
• Follow recipes and guidelines provided by the chef or kitchen supervisor to ensure consistent quality.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans, clean kitchen equipment, countertops, and work areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Sweep and mop floors regularly to keep the kitchen area tidy.
• Receive and unpack deliveries of food supplies, properly store food items in designated areas, adhering to food safety standards.
• Maintain the organization and cleanliness of storage areas, refrigerators, and freezers.
• Label and date food items appropriately to prevent spoilage and ensure freshness.
• Properly dispose of kitchen waste, including food scraps and packaging materials, following waste management guidelines.
• Separate recyclable materials and assist in recycling efforts.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage procedures.
• Follow established sanitation practices and guidelines to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Report any safety hazards or incidents to the kitchen supervisor immediately.
• Assist chefs and cooks during meal preparation, as directed.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth workflow and timely service.
• Must reside within the Abule-Egba to Toll-gate Axis and its environs.
