Hotel Head Chef at Azure Hotel and Suites

Job Description

• We are looking for a competent and experienced Head Chef with superb culinary skills and competencies in leadership coordination and kitchen management. You will be the first in command in the facilities and will create and inspect dishes before they arrive at the customers ensuring high quality and contentment.

Responsibilities

• Controlling and directing the food preparation process and any other relative activities
• Constructing menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings
• Approving and “polishing” dishes before they reach the customer
• Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between co-oworkers
• Design standardized food presentation guidelines for each dish.
• Monitor inventory levels of commonly used items.
• Look for ways to reduce spoilage of infrequently used items.

Requirements

• Degree in Culinary Science or related certificate in addition to necessary qualifications in catering and food, health and safety.
• Proven experience as Head Chef minimum of 5 years
• Exceptional proven ability of kitchen management
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong passion for the art of food design
• Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
• Ability in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progress
• Outstanding communication and leadership skills
