Horticulturist at Brit Property Nigeria

Position Overview:

The Horticulturist will be responsible for the cultivation, maintenance, and management of plants, with a focus on greenhouse cultivation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in horticultural practices, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to enhancing the company’s green spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the cultivation and care of plants, ensuring their health and sustainability.
• Manage greenhouse operations, including planting schedules, pest control, and irrigation.
• Design and maintain aesthetically pleasing landscapes for residential and commercial properties.
• Conduct soil analysis and recommend fertilizers or other treatments to improve plant growth.
• Monitor and control environmental factors affecting plant health.
• Guide plant selection and care to clients and team members.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in horticulture, with specific expertise in greenhouse cultivation.
• A degree or certification in Horticulture, Agriculture, Botany, or a related field is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of plant species, pest management, and soil science.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be a resident within Ajah, Lagos.
