The role will support improved animal productivity, feed performance, farmer engagement, and sustainable livestock health practices.
The successful candidate will work closely with commercial teams, feed formulation experts, farm managers, customers, distributors, and veterinary stakeholders to drive animal health outcomes and strengthen the company’s position as a trusted partner in ruminant nutrition and livestock solutions.
Key Deliverables
Develop and implement preventive health programmes for cattle, sheep, and goats.Provide diagnosis, treatment guidance, and disease management support for ruminant livestock.
Monitor herd health trends and recommend interventions to reduce morbidity and mortality.
Support vaccination, deworming, biosecurity, reproductive health, and disease surveillance programmes.
Advise customers and farm teams on best practices for animal welfare and productivity.
Conduct farm visits to assess animal health, nutrition, housing, and management practices.
Recommend appropriate feed, nutrition, and veterinary solutions based on farm conditions.

Design and deliver technical training for sales teams, field officers, distributors, farmers, and farm workers.
Develop training materials on ruminant health, nutrition, disease prevention, and farm management.
Organise farmer clinics, field days, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Build veterinary capability within the business to improve customer confidence and technical service quality.
Provide technical input for ruminant product positioning and market development.
Support key account management by resolving technical complaints and advising on corrective actions.
Identify market needs, farmer pain points, and product innovation opportunities.
Represent the company at livestock events, veterinary forums, exhibitions, and industry engagements.
Partner with sales and marketing teams to support customer acquisition, retention, and technical credibility
Organizational Effectiveness.
Requirements
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, DVM, BVSc, or equivalent veterinary qualification.
Minimum of 5–8 years’ experience in ruminant veterinary practice, livestock health management, dairy or beef production, animal feed, or agribusiness.
Strong practical experience working with cattle, sheep, and goats.
Experience in commercial livestock operations, feed companies, veterinary field services, or dairy/beef farm advisory roles is preferred.
Proven experience in farmer training, technical sales support, or livestock advisory services.
Experience managing disease outbreaks, production challenges, and herd health programmes.
Strong knowledge of ruminant diseases, diagnosis, treatment protocols, and prevention strategies.
Understanding of dairy and beef production systems.
Knowledge of ruminant nutrition, feed formulation principles, and feed-related performance issues.
Familiarity with biosecurity, vaccination programmes, reproduction, calf/lamb/kid management, and metabolic disorders.
Ability to interpret farm performance data and provide practical recommendations.
Knowledge of veterinary medicines, vaccines, withdrawal periods, and responsible antimicrobial use.
