• A leading and innovative insurance provider, is seeking an experienced and strategic professional to fill the position of Head, Reinsurance. This role is integral to optimizing our reinsurance arrangements and ensuring the company's financial stability and growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the company’s reinsurance strategy to balance risk exposure and profitability.
• Negotiate and maintain reinsurance treaties and facultative placements with local and international reinsurers.
• Monitor and analyze the performance of reinsurance programs, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices in reinsurance operations.
• Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, and claims teams to assess risks and determine appropriate reinsurance needs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with reinsurers, brokers, and other stakeholders.
• Lead and mentor the reinsurance team, fostering a high-performance culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance, Actuarial Science, Finance, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CIIN, ACII) is an added advantage.
• At least 6 years of experience in reinsurance, with 3 years in a senior leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of reinsurance markets, treaties, and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders.
• Proficiency in reinsurance and risk management software/tools.
