Qualifications
First Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or related field from a reputable institution.
Minimum of 10 years relevant work experience in a similar role.
MSc / MBA is an added advantage.
Relevant professional certifications (i.e. ISO9001, Lean Six Sigma, HSE etc. )
Experience leading and managing a sizeable team.
Strong strategic planning, problem solving and organizational skills.
Proven experience leveraging technology as a key enabler to enhance productivity and decision support.
Strong leadership, supervisory, coaching, mentoring and people management skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport across various stakeholders and effectively communicate and interact with top level management.
Skills and Capabilities:
Interface with other business units’ managers – planning, sourcing, procurement, logistics, engineering, assets / facilities, operations, warehouse, inventory, transport and distribution to ensure the organization’s desired objectives are met.
Oversee the formulation of policies and standard operating procedures in line with the organisations strategy and business goals.
Ensure compliance and on-going improvements to best practices for technical and operational support processes.
Track key performance indicators on operations activities including timeliness, lead time, supply scheduling, inventory optimization, service delivery and costs savings.
Ensure employee compliance with organization’s health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies.
Conduct risk management exercises and develop risk mitigation strategies.
