    Head of Strategic Partnerships

    Role Description

    • This is a full-time, on-site role located in Nigeria, for the Head of Strategic Partnerships.
    • The Head of Strategic Partnerships is responsible for defining, owning, and scaling OnePort365’s end-to-end partnership strategy across the entire trade ecosystem. This includes supply-side partners (carriers, agents, customs brokers, last-mile providers, technology platforms), demand-side partners and customers (enterprise clients, SME networks, trade communities, and platforms), as well as public-sector and ecosystem enablers.
    • The role leads the full partnership lifecycle, from strategy and partner identification to negotiation, execution, and performance management, leveraging partnerships as a core driver of revenue growth, market expansion, platform adoption, and brand positioning across Africa and global trade corridors.
    • This is a highly commercial, externally facing leadership role that works cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Operations, Finance, and Commercial teams to unlock partnership-led growth and ecosystem scale.

    Key Impact Areas

    Strategic Partnership Development & Management

    • Define and execute OnePort365’s strategic partnership roadmap across supply and demand side (customers/end users), and ecosystem partners, aligned with company growth and revenue goals.
    • Lead the identification, evaluation, and development of strategic partnerships that drive revenue growth, market expansion, and brand positioning.
    • Lead the identification, evaluation, and development of strategic partnerships across carriers, agents, technology platforms, enterprise customers, SME networks, and trade communities.
    • Develop partnership models including commercial alliances, customer and channel partnerships, technology integrations, co-selling, and joint go-to-market initiatives.
    • Structure, negotiate, and manage partnership agreements, ensuring mutual value creation and long-term sustainability.
    • Lead market entry partnerships to support regional and international expansion across trade corridors and customer segments.

    Revenue & Business Growth

    • Drive partnership-led revenue initiatives, including referral programs, channel partnerships, and strategic alliances.
    • Build and manage a robust partnership pipeline covering enterprise customers, SME networks, platforms, and supply-side partners, with clear revenue and growth forecasts.
    • Support enterprise and partnership-led deal structuring, negotiations, and closing in collaboration with Sales and Commercial teams.
    • Track, report, and optimize partnership performance against revenue, platform adoption, customer acquisition, and profitability targets.

    Relationship Management

    • Drive Own and manage senior-level relationships with strategic partners, enterprise customers, ecosystem stakeholders, and key institutions.
    • Ensure partners and customer-facing alliances are effectively onboarded, enabled, and aligned with OnePort365’s value proposition.
    • Act as the primary escalation point for partnership and ecosystem-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and long-term trust.
    • Continuously assess partner and ecosystem performance to maximize mutual value and commercial impact.

    Market Intelligence & Competitive Positioning 

    • Monitor industry trends, competitor partnerships, regulatory shifts, and emerging customer and ecosystem-led models.
    • Represent OnePort365 in strategic forums, partner meetings, trade events, and engagements.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitor offerings, pricing strategies, partnerships, and market share across supply, demand, and ecosystem players.
    • Leverage market insights to identify white-space opportunities across supply, demand, and policy ecosystems to inform partnership strategy.

    Governance, Reporting & Performance Management.

    • Develop and own partnership performance dashboards, reports, and presentations for executive stakeholders.
    • Define KPIs to measure partnership effectiveness, revenue contribution, and strategic impact.
    • Provide periodic updates on partnership achievements, pipeline status, revenue contribution, and strategic impact.
    • Ensure compliance with brand standards, financial guidelines, and contractual obligations across all partnerships.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration & Execution

    • Work closely with internal teams (Sales, Commercial, Product, Operations, Finance) to execute partnership initiatives that support customer acquisition, platform adoption, and revenue growth.
    • Ensure alignment between partnership activities and broader commercial, marketing, and operational strategies.
    • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to deliver partnership programs on time and within budget.

    Career Highlights

    • 10+ years of progressive experience in strategic partnerships, business development, or commercial leadership roles
    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or any other related discipline. Masters degree will be an added advantage.
    • Exposure to cross-border or multi-market operations, particularly within emerging markets and African trade corridors
    • Established network within the logistics, freight, and trade ecosystem is a strong advantage.
