    Head of Sales

    Key Responsibilities

    Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
    • Drive loan disbursement targets across retail, SME, and corporate segments (as applicable).
    • Identify new market opportunities and customer acquisition channels.
    • Develop innovative sales initiatives to increase revenue and market share.

    Portfolio Growth & Quality Management

    • Ensure growth of the loan portfolio while maintaining acceptable risk levels.
    • Work closely with the Credit and Risk teams to ensure quality underwriting standards.
    • Monitor portfolio performance, delinquency trends, and recovery performance.
    • Develop strategies to minimize non-performing loans (NPLs).

    Team Leadership & Performance Management

    • Recruit, train, and manage the sales team.
    • Set clear sales targets and KPIs for team members.
    • Conduct performance reviews and implement improvement plans where necessary.
    • Foster a high-performance and target-driven culture.

    Business Development & Partnerships

    • Establish and manage strategic partnerships to drive customer acquisition.
    • Build relationships with corporate clients, aggregators, and channel partners.
    • Represent the company at industry events and business forums.

     Customer Relationship Management

    • Ensure excellent customer onboarding and relationship management processes.
    • Oversee retention strategies to improve customer lifetime value.
    • Address escalated client concerns and ensure timely resolution.

    Sales Reporting & Forecasting

    • Prepare weekly and monthly sales performance reports.
    • Conduct revenue forecasting and pipeline management.
    • Analyze sales data and market intelligence to refine strategy.

    Compliance & Regulatory Alignment

    • Ensure all sales activities comply with regulatory guidelines and internal policies.
    • Promote ethical sales practices and transparency in loan offerings.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field (MBA is an advantage).

    • Minimum of 8–12 years’ experience in sales within financial services, fintech, microfinance, or banking.
    • At least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing sales teams.
    • Strong understanding of lending products, credit processes, and financial markets.
    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding aggressive sales targets.
