Develop strategy as it relates to the organization’s IT infrastructure (computer and information systems, security, communication systems)
Oversee the administration of systems and servers related to company/client LAN and WAN (e.g. security, email system, IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, filtering, proxies, backups, etc.) for the purpose of optimizing throughput, securing data, overseeing backup and recovery capabilities, and ensuring availability of services to authorized users
Ensure smooth delivery and operation of IT services by monitoring systems performance
Liaise with other departments, determine and address their IT needs and requirements
Control the operational costs of the IT department, including the preparation, submission and monitoring of operational budgets that meet prevailing objectives and constraints;
Develop and implement IT department annual budget
Develop the organizations 3-5-year IT strategic plan/Blueprint
Design and implementation of CCTV surveillance infrastructure
Manage, maintain and update company website
Oversee provision of end-user support services, including help-desk and associated technical support services;
Responsible for the implementation and testing of IT and IS business continuity to support the organization’s business continuity & Disaster recovery plans;
Oversee negotiation and administration of vendor, outsourced suppliers and consultant service agreements and contracts;
Keep abreast of developments in the Oil & GasTechnology field in order to advise management of those w are relevant to the company and to maintain a coherent and cost-effective IT strategy in the face of technological change
Responsible for the company’s information security policy and adherence to the requirements of regulatory standards
Manage the IT department, ensuring delivery of appropriate service, support and information to all users in the organization including subsidiaries, including the agreement and ongoing management of service level agreements (SLAs);
Qualifications/ Required Experience
Minimum of B.Sc in Computer Science, Information Technology or any relevant subject
8+ years of experience working in IT
3+ years of experience in a supervisory position
Experience and familiarity with network, systems administration, PABX technology, communications standards, and database management
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organization
Strong knowledge in Web technology (HTML, CSCS, JAVASCRIPT)
