    Head of Human Resources

    Job Summary

    • The ideal candidate will use insight from a deep understanding of the internal and external environment to diagnose the long-term talent, organization, culture, and capability needs of the local company.
    • S/He will partner with local company leaders and collaborate with the local HR community to oversee complex or large-scale interventions to address these needs.

    Responsibilities:

    HR Leadership

    • Has supervisory oversight of the organization's HR staff, ensuring the skills and capabilities are developed.
    • Supports the development of the Global HR strategy & plans, anticipating changing organization and market needs.
    • Ensures accurate financial reporting and full consideration of financial data when making people's decisions.
    • Maintains a long-term view of the organization’s direction, shaping and aligning the organization's HR strategy considering this.
    • Builds a global mindset. Brings understanding, insight, and best practices into the organization's HR function and ensures alignmentwith the rest of the Global HR organization.
    • Facilitates and monitors the implementation of standardized human resource processes for the organization.
    • Adheres to the organization's global internal policies and legal standards.
    • Insights, Strategy & Solutions
    • Uses an understanding of the organization and external context to form a strong point of view on opportunities and challenges of theorganization in the medium to long term.
    • Builds close relationships with the Group HR team, external HR colleagues, and executive communities of practice to keep ahead ofemerging trends, ideas, and industry/sector insights.
    • Challenges and shapes executive thinking around medium-long term business decisions that have people impact.
    • Provides insight and influences the organization's Executives in decisions impacting the long-term reputation and performance of theorganization (e.g. restructuring, reorganization, ER/IR).
    • Aligns key influencers around purpose and strategies and ensures accountability for delivery
    • Supports and may lead the design of local company HR solutions that address these insights and identify next-generation thinking in HR and leverages these in solution development. Sponsors and evaluates delivery of major, planned, new, high-impact HR programsand projects across the organization.
    • Builds the capability of the organization's Senior leadership team so they can anticipate and preempt organizational issues.

    Talent Management and Development

    • Interrogates local business strategy and uses a deep understanding of talent needs to influence business decisions.
    • Leads the analysis of current resource and talent levels and the projected capacity and resulting gaps with senior leaders.
    • Develops medium-term and long-term resourcing plans by appropriate use of development, hiring, performance management, and retention.
    • Actively promotes the recruitment of a diverse workforce and influences at the most senior levels to create a step change in the diversity of the workforce.
    • Leads organization-wide talent identification processes to facilitate the organization's succession plans and appointments
    • Works closely with local company leaders to use processes to manage identified talent – the people who will create value and competitive advantage for theorganization now and into the future. and acts as a talent broker to build individual and global capability to deliver growth.

    Organizational Development:

    • Works closely with the organization's Leadership team to interrogate organization strategy/ plan to understand key organization development needs and compare them to the organization's current capacity and capability to deliver.
    • Leads the planning and implementation of complex and organization-wide interventions at the highest level in the organization.

    Performance Management

    • Has overall responsibility for ensuring, in partnership with the organization leadership team, the creation of a positive employee relations climate within  the organization to drive individual and business performance
    • Works with the local executive team to ensure goals and rewards are aligned across teams and individuals in the organization, and enforces the Global
    • Performance Management process and policies.

    Health & Safety responsibilities

    • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and security regulations and policies.
    • Liaise with the HSSEQ department on any health, safety, or security problem that you cannot resolve for the local HR team.
    • Responsible for the health, safety, and welfare of all staff under direct management and expected to contribute to the health and safety of all personnel in the overall business unit.

    Requirements

    Education and Experience

    • A good University degree in any of the Social Sciences or equivalent.
    • An MBA or MSc. in Human Resource Management.
    • A registered member of CIPM, CIPD, or SHRM.
    • At least 10 years of HR Experience, 3 of which must be at senior leadership level.
    • Relevant experience in HR systems, processes, and the Future of Work.
    • Good knowledge of key HR processes, roles, and responsibilities across the entire HR lifecycle.
    • Relevant experience in ER/IR systems and processes in a complex environment.
