Job Summary

• The Head of Finance will oversee all financial activities of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, compliance, and risk management.
• The ideal candidate will provide strategic guidance to management, support business growth, and maintain the organization’s financial health.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the finance and accounting department, ensuring effective financial control and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in alignment with business goals.
• Oversee cash flow management, working capital, and liquidity planning.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to support business decision-making.
• Manage tax planning, filing, and compliance with FIRS and state tax authorities.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
• Supervise payroll, cost accounting, and expense management processes.
• Implement financial policies, internal controls, and procedures to safeguard company assets.
• Support business development and investment decisions through feasibility and ROI analyses.
• Lead and mentor finance team members to ensure continuous professional growth and efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or CFA is required.
• Minimum of 7 - 10 years progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years in a senior management role.
• Proven experience in the automobile, manufacturing, or trading industry is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, financial regulations, and reporting standards (IFRS).
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
• High integrity, attention to detail, and strategic financial acumen.
