    Head of Finance and Administration

    Sector: Real Estate / Mortgage

    Overview

    • The Head of Finance and Administration will manage all financial, and administrative services and will provide strategic business guidance to further grow the organization financially.
    • He/ She will provide strategic business planning, supervise/conduct all financial operations, and manage the administrative portfolio of the organization.

    Skills and Capabilities

    • Oversee administrative functions as well as facilities to ensure efficient and consistent operations as the organization scales.
    • Responsible for all matters related to the operations and administration of the organization.
    • Oversee and lead annual budgeting and planning process, administer and review all financial plans and budgets; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership team abreast of the organization’s financial status.
    • Manage organizational cash flow and forecasting.
    • Forecast monthly, quarterly and annual results
    • Approve or reject budgets
    • Evaluate and decide on investments opportunities
    • Allocate resources and manage cash flows
    • Conduct profit and cost analyses
    • Develop secure procedures to maintain confidential information
    • Ensure all accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulations
    • Recommend cost-reducing solutions
    • Plan and coordinate administrative procedures and systems and devise ways to streamline processes
    • Recruit and train personnel and allocate responsibilities and office space
    • Assess staff performance and provide coaching and guidance to ensure maximum efficiency
    • Oversee facilities services and maintenance activities.

    Qualifications

    • First Degree from a reputable tertiary institution in Accounting, Finance or relevant field from a reputable institution
    • Minimum of 7 years finance experience, with demonstrated progressive growth
    • MSc/MBA is an added advantage
    • Profession certification ACA, ACCA CFA or similar qualification
    • Good negotiation and problem-solving skills
    • Proficiency in accounting software
    • Proven experience with budgeting and risk management
    • Good knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models
    • In-depth understanding of cash flow management
    • Good understanding of corporate finance and measures of performance
    • Good communication, business presentation skills
    • Good appreciation and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
