Job Summary

As Head of Credit, you will be responsible for overseeing all credit operations of the bank, including loan processing, approval, disbursement, and collection, ensuring the bank’s credit portfolio is healthy by implementing effective risk management strategies and providing timely credit reports to management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end credit process, including loan application review, approval, disbursement, monitoring, and recovery.
• Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Evaluate the creditworthiness of potential and existing clients and make recommendations in line with the bank’s risk appetite.
• Monitor the loan portfolio to ensure high collection rates and minimal default.
• Supervise and support the credit team to achieve set targets and maintain quality standards.
• Prepare and present detailed credit and risk management reports to management for informed decision-making.

Requirements:

• B.Sc. or HND in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within a microfinance or retail banking environment.
• A postgraduate degree and/or relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CIBN, ICAN, Risk Management certifications) will be an added advantage.
• Proven track record in credit management, loan processing, and collections.
• Strong knowledge of credit risk assessment and portfolio management.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• High level of integrity and attention to detail.

Salary
N500,000 - N600,000 Monthly.
