Our client is a major plastic coolers and food flask manufacturing company with dealers spread across Nigeria and West Africa. Headquarter is in Onitsha., Anambra State

They require the services of self-motivated and experienced HEAD, INTERNAL CONTROL.

Job Location: Onitsha

Position Description:

The Head, Internal Control will be responsible for ensuring a strong internal control environment through the development of policies and procedures and ensuring their implementation and monitoring compliance. The position will work to foster standardization and consistency across the company's business processes and internal controls. 

Requirements/Responsibilities

• Ideal candidate is a critical thinker, highly organized with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• They must age between 38 to 45 years.
• They must be computer literate with ability to navigate the entire platforms of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to initiate and develop policies is mandatory.
• Deliver timely reporting on the internal control framework and control deficiencies, initiate action plans, monitor progress to address and resolve deficiencies  
• Actively engage with internal and external auditors to ensure resolution of all relevant audit finding.

Qualities

• Strong understanding and experience with internal control frameworks·  
• Analytical skills which includes ability to spot, assess and address risks and translate it into impact analysis
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including sound presentation skills·  
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and ability to work as part of a team.·  
• Meeting the above parameters, integrity, hard work, leadership skills, requisite experience and demonstrable competence in their area of specialization are the critical considerations in obtaining this job.

Qualification: BSC/HND in Accounting, Economics, Banking and Finance  or related field. (Higher certifications is an added advantage)

Experience: Minimum of 12 years cognate experience garnered from a manufacturing company.
