    Head, Human Resources

    Responsibilities

    • Business Advisory: Provide advisory services to the management team on achieving best fit between the organization’s business priorities / challenges, and its people management practices /methods, by leveraging on HR subject matter expertise, knowledge of the HR practices, the company’s internal environment, and emergent trends.
    • Employee Engagement: Responsible for driving employee engagement within the organization, by supporting the implementation of the employee engagement initiatives and developing/implementing tailored initiatives / interventions at the subsidiary level to tackle causative factors behind employee apathy and dissatisfaction with the organization.
    • Talent Management: Responsible for supporting (and where necessary ‘right-fitting’) talent management practices ranging from succession planning, leadership development, performance management, competency management etc. with the aim of bridging identified gaps in workforce capabilities and supporting the company talent strategy.
    • HR Transactions and Processes: Responsible for providing over-sight over the day-to-day HR transactions and processes such as pay-roll, health insurance, records etc.
    • Workforce Risk and Compliance Management: Responsible for defining and executing effective mitigations to people risks with legal or ethical implications which might cause damage to the company, and well as driving compliance across the workforce with internal laid down regulations and procedures.
    • Employee Grievance Resolution: Responsible for overseeing and managing ample and safe channels for effective resolution of workplace grievances, and where necessary, undertaking role of mediator in multi-party workplace disputes.
    • People Management: Provide leadership, direction, and coaching of teams towards the effective delivery of the department’s agenda.

    Requirements

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline.
    • An advanced Business Degree (preferably an MBA) is an added advantage.
    • A certification in Human Resources from a recognized professional body (e.g. CIPD, CIPM, SHRM).
    • A minimum of 5 - 10 years’ experience in HR management with at least 3 years at a senior management level.
