    Head, HSSE (Dangote Cement Plc)

    Job Summary

    We are looking for a Head, HSSE (Health, Safety, Social, Environment) to develop, implement, and continuously evaluate the effectiveness of the Dangote Cement Plc HSSE strategies, policies, projects and programs.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards related to construction HSSE management systems.
    • Provide advice and guidance to the management team, especially in the areas of risk management, safety, social performance, sustainability and environment.
    • Serve as the primary HSSE liaison for all stakeholders, including clients, contractors, host communities and regulatory agencies.
    • Lead incident investigations and provide recommendations for corrective actions and preventative measures.
    • Serve as interface to Group Management on HSSE

    Requirements

    Education and Work Experience

    • Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Managing, Project Management or related field of study.
    • Minimum experience of 25 years in leading HSSE teams in multifaceted, high-risk organisations.
    • Manufacturing, Construction, Mining Engineering industry experience.
    • NEBOSH, CSP, QEP and other related certifications.

    Skills and Behaviours

    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with clients, and regulatory agencies.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in emergencies.
    • Experience in leading incident investigations and corrective action recommendation.
    • Ability to provide leadership and direction to a team in a demanding and fast-paced environment
