Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of the principle of Islamic Insurance (Takaful)
• Professional insurance qualifications, such as ACII, FCII, or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the insurance industry, with at least IO years in a technical insurance role.
• Proven experience in leading a team of technical insurance professionals.
• Experience in general insurance product development, underwriting, and claims management.
• Strong business acumen and commercial awareness.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to customer service and satisfaction

Job Description

• Provide technical guidance and expertise on general insurance products, including policy wordings, endorsements, and claims.
• Develop and implement the general technical insurance strategy, aligning with the company's overall business objectives.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of technical insurance professionals, ensuring they have the necessary skills and expertise to perform their roles.
• Oversee the underwriting process, ensuring that risks are properly assessed, and premiums are adequately priced.
• Ensure that claims are handled efficiently, fairly, and in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure that the company's general insurance operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with general insurance products and operations.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including reinsurers, brokers, and regulatory authorities.
