Graphics Designer at Spectrum Books Limited

• Design book covers, page layouts, and promotional materials.
• Develop creative concepts and artwork for both print and digital platforms.
• Collaborate with editors, authors, and marketing teams to ensure designs meet project goals.
• Ensure all designs align with brand guidelines and deadlines.
• Prepare files for printing and liaise with printers when necessary.

Requirements:

• Minimum OND/HND/Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or related field.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), CorelDraw.
• Design and layout of publications, including classroom books and other materials using In Design, CorelDraw, Photoshop, and Page Maker.
• Strong creative skills and an eye for detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Relevant experience in a publishing or design environment.
• Professional understanding of editorial signs and symbols, including:
• Proofreading marks (e.g. delete, insert and move)
• Typesetting symbols (e.g. font styles, sizes, and spacing)
• Layout and design notation (e.g. margins, gutters, and bleeds)
• Ability to interpret and apply editorial instructions and style guides.
