    Graphics Designer

    Company Description

    Our client, a multi-national specializing in alternative energy, particularly in the design, financing and distribution of solar-powered home energy products with presence in Africa and Asia, and products that serves an estimated 53 million people across 35 countries; is looking to hire a Graphic Designer.

    Job Title: Graphic Designer

    Reports to: Creative Lead, Africa.

    Job Summary:

    The Graphic Designer will be responsible for defining requirements process, visualizing and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts and photos. She/he will be responsible for shaping the visual aspects of the organization’s websites, product packaging, and exhibitions among others.

    Job Description

    • Conceptualize and design highly effective point of sale materials to be used in a variety of channels in West Africa.
    • Brainstorming visual and copy ideas with other members of the marketing/creative team.
    • Modifying artwork to achieve the desired outcome.
    • Demonstrate initiative in responding to briefs, bringing ideas to life with an enthusiastic and proactive approach.
    • Responsible for your work and be able to prioritize projects in an organized manner, managing expectations across teams.
    • Demonstrate originality in ideas, amending and redeveloping creative work in response to creative direction provided by senior creative.

    Qualifications

    • Must have a degree/diploma in Arts/Graphic design or considerable professional experience in the creative field.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ working experience in an advertising, branding or marketing agency or another similarly fast-paced environment.
    • Highly adept at Adobe Illustrator/ Photoshop/ InDesign (knowledge on the workings of the wider Adobe Creative Suite is a plus).
    • Exceptionally creative and imaginative.
    • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
    • Excellent interpersonal skill and ability to work well in a team.
    • Possess clear thinking and problem-solving ability.
    • Ability to work under pressure, pay excellent attention to details and enthusiastic about continuously development.
