The Graduate Trainee (Engineering) is a structured early-career programme designed to develop high-potential engineering graduates into competent technical professionals capable of supporting the company's offshore and operational activities.
Successful candidates will undergo comprehensive technical, operational, safety, and leadership development through structured classroom learning, on-the-job training, mentoring, and practical field exposure across their respective engineering disciplines.
The programme is open to recent graduates in Marine, Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Petroleum, and Chemical Engineering who demonstrate strong academic performance, learning agility, and a commitment to operational excellence and safety.
Responsibilities
Participate fully in the Graduate Development Programme, including all assigned technical and professional development activities.
Complete structured training, competency assessments, and rotational assignments across relevant operational functions.
Support engineering, maintenance, drilling, and marine operations under the supervision of experienced professionals.
Assist with equipment inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational support activities.
Observe and comply with all Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Prepare technical reports, operational records, and engineering documentation as required.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and equipment reliability.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, accountability, and a commitment to continuous learning throughout the programme.
Perform other responsibilities assigned as part of the graduate development and succession planning process.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree (B.Eng./B.Sc.) in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Petroleum Engineering and Chemical Engineering.
Minimum of Second Class Upper (2:1). First Class graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
0 – 1 year post-graduation experiencing abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated learning agility with the ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and work environments.
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
High level of integrity and commitment to safety and operational excellence.
Willingness to work in offshore and operational environments where required.
