We are looking to hire an Editor for our client, a faith-based content development and editing company.

The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of editing and proofreading. 

Job Responsibilities

• Reviewing and editing written material for grammar, style, and factual accuracy.
• Collaborating with writers, designers, and other team members to maintain consistency and coherence.
• Approving proofs and ensuring adherence to publication standards.
• Developing content strategies aligned with the publication’s goals.
• Identifying trends and topics relevant to the target audience.
• Ensuring content adheres to brand guidelines, tone, and voice.
• Approving final drafts before publication.
• Reviewing and improving written content for accuracy, clarity, and quality.
• Coordinating with writers and stakeholders.
• Ensuring seamless content flow for publication.

Person Specification

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an editor, preferably in publishing, media, or online platforms.
• Exemplary editing and proofreading skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other relevant tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors, inconsistencies, and inaccuracies.
