Graduate Architect at Artee Group

Key Responsibilities

• The Trainee Architect shall support the design, technical documentation, and production coordination of furniture projects.
• The role focuses on assisting senior architects and production teams to ensure accurate drawings, efficient production processes, and adherence to design and quality standards.
• Assist in preparing furniture drawings, layouts, and shop drawings for production.
• Support the development of technical details, material specifications, and finishes.
• Revise drawings and documents based on feedback from production, management, or clients.
• Coordinate with the factory and production teams to ensure drawings are clear and buildable.
• Assist in resolving basic design or technical issues during the production process.
• 6. Support in maintaining proper documentation and version control of drawings.
• 7. Conduct basic checks to ensure furniture is produced according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Assist in preparing B.O.M / 3D, cutting lists, and basic schedules where required.
• Assist senior architects/designers in day-to-day design and coordination tasks.
• Support quality control checks during production and installation when required.
• Maintain organized project records and drawing archives (AutoCAD / system folders).

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture (Fresh Graduates are encouraged to apply)
• 0-1 years of experience (training / internship experience is an advantage)
• Interest in furniture design, production, and manufacturing processes
• Attention to quality, detailing, and standards
• Ability to work in a factory-based and fast-paced environment
• The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and keen to develop practical skills in furniture design and production.

Skill Set / Competencies:

• Basic understanding of architectural and furniture drawings
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory)
• Knowledge of SketchUp, or other 3D software is an added advantage
• Basic understanding of furniture materials such as wood, laminates, metal, and finishes
• Attention to detail and accuracy in drawings
• Willingness to learn and adapt to factory and production environments
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Soft skills/personality: proactive, eager learner, detail-oriented
• Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions
• High level of integrity is a must have.
