    Geologist

    JOB OVERVIEW

    • We are seeking a dedicated Geologist with a strong background in core geological practice who will play a pivotal role in our projects, contributing expertise in geological assessment and environmental impact evaluation.
    • This position offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate geologist to thrive in a collaborative and forward-thinking work environment within the construction industry.

    RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

    • Conduct geological fieldwork, including mapping, sample collection, and site assessments, to support construction projects.
    • Utilize various methods such as GIS, remote sensing, and geophysical techniques to analyze geological data and assess site conditions.
    • Interpret geological information to evaluate potential risks and opportunities related to construction activities.
    • Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing geological findings for internal teams and external stakeholders.
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, environmental specialists, and project managers, to ensure the successful execution of construction projects.
    • Stay abreast of industry advancements and integrate new technologies and methodologies into project work to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Adhere to safety regulations and environmental standards during fieldwork and data collection to promote a safe working environment.
    • Provide technical expertise and support to clients and team members throughout the project lifecycle.

    QUALIFICATION

    • B.Sc. in geology and a combined degree programme in Geology and Physics.
    • Proven 2 - 3 years experience in geological exploration, data analysis, and report preparation.
    • Strong proficiency in GIS software, remote sensing tools, and other relevant geological software.
    • Excellent fieldwork skills, including the ability to navigate diverse terrains and adverse weather conditions.
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex geological concepts to diverse audiences.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Familiarity with environmental regulations and industry best practices.
    • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
