Generator Maintenance Technician- Benin City at Outsource Company

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for preserving the good condition and functionality of the store premises particularly the electrical and mechanical upkeep of the store. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for servicing and installing generator systems and related equipment within the store, as well as ensuring that energy output is always efficient.
He ensures that the generator and other electrical equipment are serviced regularly, repairs are done in a timely manner to achieve minimal downtime.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Inspects the building, equipment and systems to identify issues
• Responsible for carrying out installations on small and large capacity generator sets and related equipment
• Develops and implements preventative maintenance procedures, emergency repairs, overhaul of generators, electrical repairs and expansions.
• Responsible for installing and maintaining generator sets and related equipment within the store.
• Responsible for applying electrical/engineering standards and practices in the installation and maintenance of generators
• Responsible for the safe and efficient use of tools and specialized equipment
• Diagnoses malfunctioning electrical/mechanical systems and components within the store
• Identifies potential safety hazards to avoid injuries, follows HACCP and health and safety regulations
• Keep records of the maintenance schedule of mechanical and electrical equipment
• Keep records of fuel supplies, usage, generator uptime and downtime
• Reports damages and maintenance requirements to the Store Manager (SM)
• Provides preliminary cost estimates for materials or services relating to electrical and mechanical maintenance 
• Greets customers in a friendly and courteous manner
• Directs customers to the appropriate product allocation when asked

Qualifications:

• Minimum of SSCE
• Previous experience in a similar role preferably in an industrial environment

• Have a high maintenance standard
