    General Supervisor

    Job Description

    • You shall be supervising all front desk and housekeeping activities such as guest check-in and check-out, room inventory and food & beverage duties including other aspects of hotel operations on a day-to-day basis.
    • You are also to supervise staff members and delegate tasks as at when necessary.
    • You are also expected to take charge of running the hotel in the absence of the General Manager and work closely with the hotel owners and other stakeholders.

    Apart from any other assignment as may be given to you by Management, your job description includes:

    • Supervising the operations of all the departments of the hotel viz: front office, housekeeping (including laundry), food & beverage (restaurant & bar) and always liaise with the kitchen for hitch-free services.
    • Inspecting guests rooms, restaurant, bar and all other areas to ensure that they are clean and up to the recommended hotel protocols and standards.
    • Holding regular briefings and meetings with the staff of the departments.
    • Ensuring full compliance with the hotel's operating controls and standard operating procedures (SOP's).
    • Handling of complaints and overseeing the service recovery procedures.
    • Liaising with the store keeper and the procurement officer to ensure regular supply of consumables by maintaining inventory and ordering new items as at when needed.
    • Contributing to the preparation, presentation and subsequent attainment of the hotel's annual operating budget, capital budget and marketing & sales plan.
    • Ensuring that the hotel is running profitably with revenue and guests satisfaction targets attained and exceeded.
    • Ensuring that monthly financial outlooks for rooms, food & beverages and general administration are on target and accurate.
    • Ensuring compliance and due diligence with statutory requirements and regulatory agencies.
    • Responding to audits and ensuring that continuous improvement is achieved.
    • Maintaining the expected level of integrity and responsibility by querying any observed anomaly in the process of guests check-in and check-out, requisition, procurement, storage and utilization of consumables in the hotel.

    Requirements

    • Candidates should possess OND / HND / Bachelor's Degrees with 3+ years relevant work experience.
