General Ledger Accountant at Eat'N'Go Limited

Job Description

This role is responsible for ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded in the ERP in line with International Financial Reporting Standards and Generally Accepted Accounting Practices.

• Ensure the integrity of the numbers and the accuracy of the general ledger entries and all account reconciliations.
• Support the Financial Accountant in the preparation of the financial statement for the Nigerian entity
• Prepares the monthly financial reports for the Company.
• Undertakes month end routines in line with reporting calendar.
• Performs timely reconciliation of General Ledger accounts to independent documents to ensure that all reconciling items are resolved and do not age over 30 days.
• Ensures relevant financial documents are filed and easily retrievable in hard and soft copies, especially journals.
• Posts requisite journal vouchers in the ERP correctly.
• Captures accruals, amortizations, prepayments accurately and consistently.
• Supports the Financial Accountant during statutory and regulatory audits.

Qualifications

Experience / Education Required:

• BSc/HND Accounting and related qualifications
• Minimum of 2-4 years’ post professional qualification experience in a related accounting role. QSR experience is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Excel, ERPs, and Navision is an advantage.
• High Integrity, utmost confidentiality level
• Good analytical skills
• Detail-oriented with expert knowledge of IFRS, GAAP and financial reporting practices
• Good analytical, presentation and communication skills
