Forklift Operator at FMR AGENCY

Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced, competent and responsible Forklift operator to join our warehouse team in Lagos Island.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement, loading, unloading, and stacking of cartons, clothing materials, and other warehouse items while adhering to all safety and operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely to load, unload, move, and stack cartons, clothing materials, and other warehouse items.
• Transport goods efficiently between receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch areas.
• Arrange and stack goods appropriately in designated warehouse locations.
• Assist with loading and offloading trucks when required.
• Conduct pre-operation forklift inspections and promptly report faults or maintenance issues.
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures, forklift operating guidelines, and company policies.
• Handle merchandise carefully to prevent damage during movement and storage.
• Maintain accurate awareness of goods being moved and their designated locations.
• Keep the warehouse and work areas clean, organised, and free from hazards.
• Work closely with warehouse and logistics personnel to support smooth daily operations.
• Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• 2 – 3 years of proven experience as a forklift operator.
• Valid forklift operating certification / license where applicable.
• Good knowledge of warehouse safety practices and forklift operations.
• Ability to safely handle and move warehouse goods of varying sizes and weights.
• Physically fit, attentive, reliable, and safety-conscious.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
