We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Fish Farm Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team and lead our fish farming operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Production Planning: Develop and implement production plans to achieve desired fish yields.
    • Resource Management: Efficiently allocate resources such as feed, equipment, and personnel.
    • Feeding Management: Monitor and manage feeding schedules to ensure optimal growth and health of the fish.
    • Water Quality Management: Regularly check and maintain water quality parameters like pH, oxygen levels, and temperature.
    • Health Monitoring: Inspect fish for signs of disease or stress and implement health management practices.
    • Facility and Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance of ponds, tanks, filtration systems, and other infrastructure.
    • Staff Supervision: Recruit, train, and supervise farm workers and technicians.
    • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of fish growth rates, feed consumption, water quality, and financial transactions.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the farm complies with local and national aquaculture regulations and environmental standards.
    • Marketing and Sales: Monitor market trends, coordinate sales, and manage relationships with buyers.
    • Innovation: Stay updated with the latest aquaculture technologies and practices to improve farm productivity and sustainability.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or HND in Aquaculture, Fisheries Science, Marine Biology, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 4 years of experience in fish farming or aquaculture management.
    • Strong knowledge of fish biology, aquaculture systems, and farm management practices.
    • Proven leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in record-keeping and data management.
