Financial Controller at DexNova Consulting Limited

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Global Finance Director on financial planning and reporting.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow processes.
• Contribute to the design and optimization of financial operations and reporting frameworks.
• Provide insights using management accounting principles and business intelligence tools.
• Prepare and consolidate financial reports to support strategic decision-making.
• Administer all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Check control inward and outward transfers, telexes, vouchers involving local and foreign banks.
• Control issues raised in audit reports to ensure compatibility in operational activities.
• Ensure that all customer documentation transactions are correct in order to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Develop strategies, goals and action plans to achieve the planned revenue, profits and figures.

Academic Qualification/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Banking & Finance, or its equivalent in any discipline.
• ICAN, ACA or any relevant professional qualification.
• Master’s degree is an added advantage.
• 5-7 years and above of experience in Finance and Accounting role and at least 5 years of experience in a senior management role.
• Experience in working within the Oil & Gas Sector will be considered an important advantage.
• Prior work experience showing increasing levels of responsibility with a focus on operations in a fast paced and entrepreneurial environment

Skills and Competencies

• Proficiency in Microsoft O365 suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Solid knowledge of management accounting and financial reporting.
• Advanced proficiency with Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
• Proven experience in multinational environments and working across diverse cultures.
• Strong strategic thinking and the ability to align financial goals with business objectives.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a track record of leading finance teams in dynamic settings.
• Self-motivated and eager to take on increasing responsibilities over time.
