    Financial Analyst

    Job Summary

    • The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial planning, analysis and projection for existing, new and upcoming projects. Must be able to forecast future revenues and expenditures to establish cost structures and determine capital budgeting for projects.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to senior management
    • Produce monthly reports, which include key metrics, financial results, and variance reporting
    • Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
    • Develop models that help with decision-making
    • Spearhead the annual and quarterly budgeting and forecasting processes
    • Identify opportunities for performance improvement across the organization
    • Maintain knowledge and keep abreast of new financial regulations or policies
    • Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking
    • Work closely with management to ensure accurate financial reporting
    • Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecast
    • Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures around expenditures
    • Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization
    • Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials
    • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards
    • Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools
    • Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuations
    • Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation by creating forecasts and models
    • Reconcile existing transactions through cross-referencing of incoming and outgoing data
    • Conduct comparable analysis and market research to support internal financial analysis
    • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of financial instruments, market conditions, and trends

    Requisite Qualifications / Experience

    • B.Sc. (1st or 2nd Class Upper) plus M. Sc. in Social Sciences or Management
    • Qualified Accountant - ACA or ACCA plus a minimum of 5-7 years experience in Financial Management
    • Proficient in the use of Enterprise-wide Accounting Applications such as SAGE or SAP and Ms Office packages and Power PowerPoint presentation

    • Good interpersonal skills, people management and negotiating skills
    • High awareness of quality issues and attention to details
    • Strong sense of professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment and tact
    • High level of sincerity and honesty with pragmatic and proactive approach to business
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality
