Role Summary

• The Finance Controller is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the organization’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, optimizing financial performance, and maintaining robust compliance with regulatory standards.
• This role requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution to drive sustainable financial health and growth.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis:

• Develop and implement financial strategies that align with organizational objectives.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support decision-making processes.
• Analyze financial trends to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for cost optimization.

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with regulatory standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audit requirements, and internal controls.
• Collaborate with external auditors, tax consultants, and other stakeholders.

Cash Flow & Risk Management:

• Monitor and manage the organization’s cash flow, ensuring liquidity for operations.
• Assess and mitigate financial risks, including currency, credit, and operational risks.
• Oversee treasury functions, including investment and debt management.

Operational Oversight:

• Implement and maintain financial systems, processes, and controls to enhance operational efficiency.
• Review and approve financial transactions, ensuring adherence to company policies.
• Support procurement and inventory management with cost control measures.

Team Leadership:

• Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
• Provide training and development to ensure the team remains updated on financial best practices.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to align financial goals with broader business objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or relevant master’s degree is an advantage).
• Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA are preferred.
• Proven experience (7+ years) in finance leadership roles, with expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of financial systems, ERP software, and advanced Excel skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive process improvements.
