    Finance Associate

    Job Summary

    The Finance Associate will support the Finance Department in managing the day-to-day financial operations of the Group, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis. The role involves ensuring compliance with financial regulations, maintaining accurate records, and supporting strategic financial decisions that drive business growth and operational efficiency.

    Location: Gaduwa - Ado, Abuja

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and reports in compliance with accounting standards.
    • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
    • Assist in reconciling bank accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
    • Ensure all journal entries are properly supported and recorded on time.
    • Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
    • Support the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts across business units.
    • Track actual performance against budget and highlight variances with explanations.
    • Assist management in cost control and expense management initiatives.
    • Monitor daily cash flow and ensure funds are available for operational needs.
    • Prepare cash flow statements and projections.
    • Support the management of payments, receipts, and petty cash.
    • Support the preparation and submission of statutory filings (VAT, WHT, PAYE, Company Income Tax, etc.).
    • Support the implementation and maintenance of accounting software and internal control systems.
    • Ensure adherence to company finance policies and recommend process improvements.
    • Contribute to the automation and digitization of finance processes to enhance efficiency.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance within a corporate or consulting environment.
    • A professional qualification (ICAN) is an added advantage.
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
    • Proficiency in MS Excel, accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Sage, or Zoho Books), and financial reporting tools.
