Job Summary

This role is critical to designing high-quality FTTx (FTTH, FTTB) and backbone fiber networks that are scalable, reliable, and cost-effective. You will work with cross-functional teams to plan, design, and document network builds using GIS and AutoCAD-based tools.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in fiber network design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and GIS tools (QGIS, ArcGIS, or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of FTTx architecture, fiber topology, and design principles.
• Familiar with design requirements for civil works, ducting, manholes, and pole routes.
• Ability to analyze survey reports and field data to guide designs
• Attention to detail and accuracy in producing technical documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end fiber optic networks, including FTTH, FTTB, and long-haul/backbone routes.
• Create accurate route plans and detailed network drawings using AutoCAD, GIS  (QGIS/ArcGIS), and other mapping tools.
• Optimize network designs for capacity, redundancy, and minimal civil work costs.
• Interpret survey data and convert it into technical design outputs.
• Prepare Bill of Quantities (BoQs), splicing plans, and route maps for implementation teams.
• Ensure compliance with internal standards and industry best practices.
• Support project planning and implementation teams with design clarifications when needed.
