    Facility Manager

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee and manage all facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, structural, and mechanical equipment.
    • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure uninterrupted facility operations.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mechanical, electrical, and civil systems, minimizing downtime and optimizing operational efficiency.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and emergency preparedness drills.
    • Implement corrective actions for any identified safety risks and manage documentation for compliance audits.
    • Plan, coordinate, and execute facility improvement and renovation projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and contractor management.
    • Oversee civil works and structural modifications, ensuring adherence to building codes and regulations.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to deliver projects on time and within budget.
    • Develop and implement energy-saving initiatives, monitor energy usage, and recommend improvements for sustainable facility management.
    • Identify opportunities for resource conservation and cost reduction through efficient facility practices.
    • Manage relationships with external contractors, service providers, and suppliers to ensure high-quality service delivery.
    • Negotiate contracts, track performance, and ensure compliance with contractual terms and service level agreements.
    • Prepare, manage, and track the facility’s operational budget and capital expenditures.
    • Forecast costs for repairs, maintenance, and projects, ensuring fiscal responsibility and cost-effectiveness.
    • Lead facility-related incident responses, including power outages, equipment failures, and natural disasters.
    • Develop and maintain emergency response procedures, coordinating with relevant department for timely and effective action
    • Some physical activity, including walking and inspecting various facility areas.

    Required Skills/ Abilities

    • Excellent project management skills with experience in overseeing construction, renovation, or infrastructure projects.
    • Familiarity with local building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
    • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess technical issues and implement effective solutions.
    • Proficient in facility management software and MS Office Suite.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and manage vendor relationships.
    • Professional certification in facilities management (e.g., CFM, FMP, PMP).
    • Proficiency in CAD software for reviewing and understanding building plans.
    • May require on-call availability for emergencies.
