Excavator & Welding Machine Mechanic at Felton Energy Services Ltd (FESL)

About the Role:

• The Excavator & Welding Machine Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of excavators and welding machines used across project operations.
• This dual-skilled role is essential in reducing equipment downtime, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring peak performance of all machinery on-site.

Responsibilities:

Excavator Maintenance & Repairs

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems of excavators.
• Conduct routine servicing, inspections, and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve faults quickly to minimize project delays.

Welding Machine Maintenance

• Service and repair various types of welding machines (manual, semi-auto, and automatic).
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults in welding equipment and ensure timely repairs.
• Inspect and test welding machines to confirm proper functioning.

General Duties

• Keep detailed service records, repair logs, and inspection reports for both equipment types.
• Advise equipment operators on correct usage and preventive care practices.
• Monitor inventory of spare parts and recommend procurement of necessary components.
• Ensure all work complies with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in excavator and welding machine maintenance.
• Technical certification or diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and basic electricals.
• Skilled in the repair of manual and automatic welding machines (arc, TIG, MIG, etc.).
• Proficient in using diagnostic and repair tools for heavy-duty equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be physically fit and able to work under site conditions and tight deadlines.
• High safety awareness and commitment to operational excellence.
