Environmental Maintenance Officer (Cleaner) at Ladkem Eye Hospital

Schedule of Duty 

• Deep cleaning of the hospital i.e. reception area, the waiting rooms, wards, offices, equipment room, the kitchen, toilets and bathrooms as well as dusting of the frame display panel and frames, cupboards, etc.;
• General cleaning of the hospital environment.
• Washing, dusting and mopping.
• Proper disposal of general and medical waste.
• Liaise with officials of respective waste management organizations to ensure that they carry the waste as at when due.
• Maintain adequate supply of consumables such as cleaning materials.
• Ensure proper handling of all cleaning materials to ensure durability and prevent wastage.
• Ensuring availability of water/disposable cups in the dispenser.
• Buying CWAY bottles and ensuring they are always stocked on extra bottles.
• Going to the bank to pay for medical waste bill.
• Washing hospital's clothing and properly folding them when dry.
• Working closely with the nurses to ensure that the hospital is always clean.
• Ensure constant neatness and dryness of the floor of the reception, wards and toilets.
