Key Responsibilities 

Design Leadership & Governance

• Own the end-to-end design process — site survey, load capture, equipment sizing, schematics, single-line diagrams, design review, and as-built
• Set and maintain design standards, sizing methodologies, and drawing templates
• Chair design reviews and hold final design-approval authority before installation

Technical Design — Solar Hybrid & High Voltage

• Direct the design of solar hybrid systems — PV arrays, inverters, battery storage, controllers, and diesel-generator integration
• Ensure high-voltage designs meet engineering standards and safety codes
• Validate load calculations, autonomy and sizing assumptions, and protection design

Team & Delivery

• Lead and develop project engineers (on design) and draftspersons
• Coordinate with Projects, Operations, and Construction on buildability and delivery
• Manage design workload, priorities, and turnaround against the project pipeline

Quality, Risk & Documentation

• Enforce QA/QC on all design outputs and as-built documentation
• Identify and mitigate design and technical risk before it reaches site
• Maintain a controlled, audit-grade design records base

Client & Compliance

• Interface with clients on design requirements, blueprints, and as-built handover
• Ensure designs meet client load and operational requirements and regulatory standards

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic/Power Engineering or related field
• 8+ years in power/energy/infrastructure engineering, with strong design experience
• Deep competency in solar hybrid system design — PV, inverters, battery sizing, controllers
• Strong knowledge of high-voltage design and associated safety standards
• Proven experience owning design review, approval, and as-built processes
• Strong leadership, standardisation, and documentation discipline
