Electrical Engineer – Manufacturing / PVC Extrusion at Workforce Group

Job Summary

• We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer to support the maintenance, troubleshooting and efficient operation of electrical systems and production equipment within a manufacturing environment.
• The ideal candidate should have practical experience in industrial electrical maintenance, preferably within PVC/plastics manufacturing, extrusion or a related production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance on electrical systems and production equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and minimise production downtime.
• Maintain and troubleshoot motors, control panels, sensors, drives and other industrial electrical equipment.
• Support the operation and maintenance of extrusion and other manufacturing machinery.
• Diagnose faults in PLC, automation and control systems.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and control schematics.
• Conduct routine inspections and ensure electrical equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Support installation, commissioning and modification of electrical equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, breakdowns and repairs.
• Work closely with mechanical, production and other technical teams to resolve equipment issues.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures and company standards.

Requirements

• B.Eng ./ B.Sc. or HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on industrial electrical maintenance experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, plastics, PVC, extrusion or a similar production environment is highly desirable.
• Practical knowledge of PLC systems, industrial automation, control panels, motors and electrical drives.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and control-system faults effectively.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Candidates with relevant PVC / plastic extrusion experience (2+ years) will be highly preferred.
