Electrical Engineer at Dunn & Braxton

Key Responsibilities:

In addition to being able to excellently perform the duties of a level 4 Electrical Engineer, carry out the following responsibilities.

• Develop project report following site inspections                                                                                
• Provide support in the preparation of materials technical submittals and materials
• quantification and variations.                                                                                                            
• Provide technical guidance to subcontractors/vendors as required, reading and interpretation of working drawings.

OHSE Responsibilities:

• Drive in conformance with health & safety rules within your teams
• Perform work safely to protect you and others from harm
• Follow health and safety procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment, obeying safety signs and safely using work tools.
• Not tampering with or misusing safety equipment, devices or any other company property
• Report any identified defects and potential hazards in the workplace
• Inform your Supervisor/HSE Representatives/HSE Officer or QHSE Manager of any observed workplace injury, illness and incidents.
• Be familiar with the company’s emergency and evacuation procedures and the location of emergency equipment (fire extinguishers, first aid kits, etc.) in order to be able to take appropriate action in the event of an emergency
• Participate in incident investigation (if required)
• Promote the organization's positive health and safety culture.
• Continuously implementing environmental awareness in the organization with climate change, waste reduction and energy efficiency

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Relevant certifications or professional body memberships are an added advantage.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft office suite.
• Knowledge of AutoCad and electrical engineering and design including softwares such as dialux, ecodial, etc.
• Analytical Thinking and Problem Solving skills                         
• Effective team player, communication and presentation skills.                                              
• Ability to work as required to meet tight deadlines
