We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing electrical and instrumentation system designs, directing contractors and subcontractors, and managing changes to electrical designs. This role requires a strong background in analyzing electrical and instrumentation drawings, developing cost estimates, and ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Review Electrical and Instrumentation System Designs: Thoroughly review and evaluate all electrical and instrumentation system designs to ensure they meet project requirements and industry standards.
Direct Contractors and Subcontractors: Provide clear instructions and oversight to electrical contractors and subcontractors, ensuring work is completed to specifications and within project timelines.
Resolve Electrical and Instrumentation Issues: Address and resolve any issues related to electrical and instrumentation systems, and manage changes to electrical designs as necessary.
Analyze Drawings and Develop Cost Estimates: Analyze electrical and instrumentation drawings and specifications, and develop accurate cost estimates for project budgeting and planning.
Collaborate with Subcontractors: Work closely with subcontractors to ensure electrical work is coordinated effectively with other project elements and progresses smoothly.
Ensure Code Compliance and Safety: Inspect and verify contractors' work to ensure adherence to local and national electrical codes, safe operation of devices, and accurate power delivery.
Coordinate Project Completion: Oversee the completion of all electrical system aspects of projects, ensuring all work is completed to satisfaction and on schedule.
Develop As-Built Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed as-built documentation for all electrical systems, reflecting any changes made during the project.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree/HND in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical and instrumentation system design and project management.
Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety standards.
Proficiency in analyzing technical drawings and specifications.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with contractors, subcontractors, and project teams.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
