Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Learning

• Plan and deliver lessons in line with the school curriculum and learning objectives.
• Teach core subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.
• Use diverse teaching strategies to meet the needs of different learners.
• Prepare learning materials, worksheets, and classroom activities.
• Assess pupils’ learning through tests, assignments, and class activities.

Classroom Management

• Maintain a safe, orderly, and supportive classroom environment.
• Establish clear classroom rules and behaviour expectations.
• Manage pupil behaviour positively and effectively.

Learner Development

• Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional growth.
• Identify learning difficulties and provide appropriate support.
• Encourage creativity, curiosity, and independent thinking.

Assessment and Reporting

• Monitor and record pupils’ academic progress.
• Prepare report cards and provide feedback to parents.
• Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school reporting processes.

School Participation

• Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development.
• Support school events, activities, and extracurricular programmes.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching and learning practices.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
• Teaching certification or professional qualification is an advantage.
• Experience teaching at the elementary/primary level.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
