    Drone Pilot Intern

    Our client is a Nigeria leading brand agency. They specialise on branding, corporate & marketing, investor relations, media & advertising. They seek to hire a Drone Pilot Intern who would be working with creative teams and clients to plan video shoot, assist in conducting flight demonstrations as well as pre flight, Strategically engaging stories around all brands that captivate a social driven audience and accomplish project objectives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Pre-flight Preparation:
    • Assist in pre-flight checks to ensure drones are in proper working condition.
    • Help set up and calibrate drone equipment, including cameras, sensors, and controllers.
    • Learn to assess weather conditions and verify airspace regulations for safe flights.
    • Flight Operations:
    • Work alongside experienced drone pilots to operate drones for various purposes, such as photography, videography, or data collection.
    • Assist in following flight plans and ensuring the drone's safe and efficient performance.
    • Gain experience in monitoring the drone's position and making adjustments as needed.
    • Data Collection and Analysis:
    • Assist in data collection efforts, including capturing images, video footage, or other data relevant to the project.
    • Learn to upload and manage collected data on computers for further analysis and reporting.
    • Compliance and Regulations:
    • Become familiar with drone regulations and safety guidelines relevant to the region of operation.
    • Assist in ensuring that all flights adhere to local and federal laws.
    • Maintenance and Repairs:
    • Learn basic maintenance tasks and troubleshooting procedures to keep drone equipment in good working order.
    • Assist in performing routine maintenance under supervision.
    • Safety and Risk Management:
    • Adhere to safety protocols and best practices during drone operations.
    • Assist in identifying and mitigating potential risks during flights.
    • Documentation:
    • Keep accurate records of flight logs, mission details, and data collected.
    • Assist in documenting and reporting on the progress of missions.
    • Learning and Development:
    • Participate in training sessions and educational opportunities to improve piloting skills and knowledge of drone technology.
    • Seek guidance and feedback from experienced drone pilots to enhance skills.

    Requirements:

    • Enthusiasm and interest in drones and UAV technology.
    • Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
    • Basic knowledge of aviation and safety principles.
    • Physical fitness and the ability to be outdoors, sometimes in challenging weather conditions.
    • Depending on the region and specific tasks, compliance with any applicable internship regulations and age requirements.
