Draftsman (Furniture) at Majeurs

Responsibilities

• Follow complex instructions and diagrams to create or modify drawings
• Take verbal direction and implementing it into sketches and calculations to produce the final work.
• Produce plans, designs, technical details, and furniture layouts.
• Coordinate filing, storage, and retrieval of drawings.
• Draw furniture diagrams, or plans for furniture projects and designs.
• Plan and drawing details of furniture and site visitation for manufacturing purpose.
• Create high-quality detailed furniture drawings, and plans based on designs.
• Make modifications to existing drawings.
• Use a variety of CAD software programs to create designs in 2D and 3D models.
• Provide accurate, detailed, and scale drawings
• Ensure drawings are compliant with industry and health and safety standards and protocols
• Calculate costs and apply knowledge of materials and manufacturing principles to check the feasibility of the manufacture product or item.
• Conduct site visits and surveys when required
• Present working drawings for use in all stages of the project, tender, manufacture and installation.
• Produce installation and manufacturing documentation.
• Maintain accurate records
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• B.Sc. / HND in Mechanical Engineering, Furniture. Degree from a technical college also acceptable.
• Work experience is compulsory
• 3 - 5 years experience in same role.
