    Dialysis Technician

    Job Summary

    • The Dialysis Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining dialysis equipment, monitoring patients undergoing dialysis treatment, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards.
    • The role supports nephrologists and nursing staff in delivering high-quality renal care to patients with chronic kidney disease or acute renal failure.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare and set up dialysis machines and related equipment before each treatment session.
    • Perform pre-dialysis and post-dialysis patient assessments, including checking vital signs and documenting medical information.
    • Initiate, monitor, and terminate dialysis treatments under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
    • Observe and report patient reactions or complications during treatment to the clinical team.
    • Ensure proper disinfection, calibration, and maintenance of dialysis equipment in compliance with clinic protocols.
    • Mix and monitor dialysis solutions according to prescribed formulas.
    • Maintain accurate and timely patient treatment records and equipment logs.
    • Assist in patient education regarding dialysis treatment and care of vascular access.
    • Adhere to infection control, health, and safety standards at all times.
    • Support inventory management of dialysis supplies and report shortages promptly.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Education: Diploma or Certification in Dialysis Technology, Biomedical Science, or related field.
    • Experience: Minimum of 1–3 years’ experience as a Dialysis Technician in a renal care unit or hospital setting.
    • Certifications: Valid Dialysis Technician certification (where applicable) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
