The Deposit Mobilization Officer will drive deposit growth by aggressively marketing the Bank’s liability products (savings, current, and fixed deposit accounts) to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), high-net-worth individuals, structured markets, and corporate clients.
This role requires an energetic salesperson who can build trust within the assigned local market, meet monthly liability targets, and ensure excellent customer retention.
Key Responsibilities
Actively market and sell the bank's deposit products to meet and exceed individual monthly and annual deposit mobilization targets.
Onboard new retail and commercial customers while managing existing relationships to prevent account dormancy and capital flight.
Identify and penetrate informal business clusters, trade associations, cooperatives, and small business owners within the assigned regional branch network.
Cross-sell alternative banking channels and identify credible credit / loan opportunities among low - risk depositors for referral to the credit team.
Ensure all opened accounts meet standard Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti - Money Laundering (AML) regulatory compliance frameworks before onboarding.
Prepare and present weekly performance logs, pipelines, and market intelligence reports to management.
Job Requirements
OND, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Banking & Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or any related field.
Minimum of 3 yearsactive experience in deposit mobilization, retail banking sales, or field marketing within a Microfinance Bank, Fintech, or Tier - 2 commercial bank.
Exceptional field sales, negotiation, and closing skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with fluent communication in English and local native dialects relevant to the assigned branch.
Deep understanding of retail liability structures and microfinance product dynamics.
Self-motivated, target - driven, resilient, and highly familiar with the commercial landscape of the preferred location.
