Job Description

• The Demand Generation Manager is a hands-on, execution-focused role responsible for translating the Marketing's brand and commercial strategies into on-ground demand creation.
• The role bridges marketing and sales by driving Sales Force Excellence, coordinating clinical/medical presentations, delivering high-impact events, and expanding our footprint in government hospitals and public health institutions across Lagos and other regions.

Responsibilities
Strategy Execution & Sales Force Excellence:

• Translate marketing plans devised by the Marketing department into actionable field execution plans for the sales team.
• Work closely with MSRs and Regional Sales Managers to drive call-plan adherence, detailing quality, and product recall at HCP level.
• Conduct joint field visits, coaching, and in-clinic support to reinforce selling skills and Sales Force Excellence standards, especially in secondary and tertiary hospitals, corporate clinics, and other key hospitals.
• Monitor competitor activity in the field and feed marketing insights back into strategy.

Clinical & Scientific Engagement:

• Coordinate and supervise clinical presentations, CME sessions, and scientific detailing sessions for our brands.
• Build and manage relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), consultants, hospital pharmacy, and other Key Decision Makers.

Events & Activations:

• Execute conferences, product launches, CME programmes, and retail activations to meet defined objectives and ROI.
• Track pre-event objectives (reach, leads, prescriptions, sales conversion) and produce post-event evaluation reports.
• Supervise canvassers and logistics to ensure quality and cost-efficient delivery of all events.

Institutional & Government Hospital Engagement:

• Drive penetration into government/public hospitals, teaching hospitals, and health institutions in Lagos and other states.
• Build relationships with Chief Pharmacists, Hospital Management Boards, and procurement/tender committees.
• Support participation in tenders and formulary listing processes for public health facilities.
• Represent us at trade association events (e.g., ACPN, PSN) and medical conferences (e.g., military/paramilitary medical units).

Reporting & Collaboration:

• Provide the Head of Marketing with regular execution reports, field intelligence, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with Trade Marketing, Regulatory, and Finance to ensure budget discipline on all demand generation activities.

Requirements

• B.Pharm or Pharm D.
• 3–5 years' pharmaceutical sales or marketing experience, with demonstrable field execution and event management exposure.
• Proven experience engaging government hospitals, tenders, or public-sector health procurement is strongly preferred.
• Strong sales coaching, event planning, and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively within Nigeria.
• High-energy, "Can-Do, Will-Do" execution mindset; strong ownership of results.
